Air France-KLM appoints advisers to evaluate options for CityJet

Air France-KLM appointed advisers to evaluate strategic options for CityJet according to CityJet CEO Christine Ourmières. As reportedly by the Irish Times, the move includes the seeking of a "compatible investor partner" for the airline which was not included in a group-wide restructuring of Air France and its regional subsidiaries. CityJet currently employs 1000 staff and is undergoing its own restructuring which is to see 100 staff leave the airline under voluntary redundancy by the end of Nov-2012. CityJet's restructuring programme is aimed at achieving EUR10 million of savings annually and it is expecting to return to profitability in 2013.
