Air France and KLM record increasing 'coolcation' demand
Air France-KLM head of marketing North Europe Maria Hagelberg stated (01-Jul-2024) Air France and KLM have for several years observed the growing trend of 'coolcation', whereby travellers go on summer vacations to destinations with cool or temperate climates. Air France and KLM commercial director North Europe Michael Ruet highlighted: "Ahead of the 2024 summer season, we continue to see increased demand from countries such as France, the Netherlands and southern European countries". Mr Ruet added: "In order to meet the demand for 'coolcation', we have, in addition to our regular network, added several summer flights from Paris". Highlights include:

- Winter 2024/25:
- Paris CDG-Tromso: Between one to three weekly frequencies;
- Paris CDG-Kiruna: Weekly between 21-Dec-2024 and 08-Mar-2025;
- Paris CDG-Rovaniemi: Weekly from 30-Nov-2024 to 29-Mar-2025, increased to twice weekly during the Christmas and school holiday periods;
- Paris CDG-Kittilä: Weekly between 21-Dec-2024 and 29-Mar-2025;
- Amsterdam-Rovaniemi: Weekly between 23-Nov-2024 and 29-Mar-2025;
- Year round destinations from Amsterdam and/or Paris:
- Copenhagen, Billund, Aalborg, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Linköping, Helsinki, Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger, Ålesund, Trondheim, Kristiansand and Tromsö. [more - original PR - Swedish]
