Air China passenger traffic up 11.4% in Sep-2009

Air China passenger traffic up 11.4% - preliminary traffic highlights in Sep-2009:

  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +11.4% year-on-year;
    • Domestic: +11.4%;
    • Regional: +26.3%;
    • International: +10.4%;
  • Passenger load factor: 76.6%, +0.8 ppt;
    • Domestic: 73.2%, -3.7 ppts;
    • Regional: 67.0%, +0.2 ppt;
    • International: 83.3%, +8.3 ppts;
  • Cargo volume: +27.2%. [more]

Air China: "In September, air traffic market saw the growth trend continue, despite passenger traffic demand marginally softening on a month-over-month basis. Air China again recorded across-the-board year-over-year double digit growth in passenger traffic and volume in all markets.
