Air Berlin operating loss narrows in 1Q2012

Air Berlin reported (14-May-2012) the following preliminary financial highlights for the three months ended 31-Mar-2012:

  • Revenue: EUR812.9 million, +4.0% year-on-year;
  • Operating costs: EUR986.0 million, +1.5%;
  • EBITDAR: EUR7.2 million, compared to a loss of EUR25.7 million in p-c-p;
  • Operating profit (loss): (EUR149.3 million), compared to a loss of EUR188.3 million in p-c-p;
  • Net profit (loss): (EUR102.9 million), compared to a loss of EUR120.6 million in p-c-p;
  • Total assets: EUR2511 million;
