Air Berlin expects 2010 operating profit to exceed 2009 levels

Air Berlin forecast its 2010 operating profit would exceed 2009 levels, despite an estimated EUR40 million in additional costs and lost revenue related to the European ash cloud crisis (Reuters, 20-May-2010). The carrier reported an EUR28.5 million EBIT in 2009.
