Spain’s AENA reports passenger traffic up 6.0% - traffic highlights in Jan-2011:

  • Passenger numbers: 12.2 million, +6.0%;
  • Aircraft movements:
    • Madrid Barajas: 34,325, +1.5%;
    • Barcelona el Prat: 21,589, +13.1%;
    • Gran Canaria: 9,247, -0.3%;
    • Palma de Mallorca: 7,775, -4.7%;
    • Malaga: 6,329, +2.6%;
    • Valencia: 6,038, 18.8%;
    • Tenerife South: 4,898, -1.0%;
    • Tenerrife North: 7,765, -5.6%;
    • Alicante: 4,359, -0.8%;
    • Seville: 4,238, +8.5%;
    • Lanzarote: 3,833, +5.9%;
  • Air cargo: 50,755 tonnes, +9.2%;
    • Madrid Barajas: 30,520, +15.9%;
    • Barcelona el Prat: 7,796, +9.4%;
    • Vitoria: 2,218, +7.8%;
