ADV president calls for deregulation of German airports

Flughafenverband ADV (German Airports Association) president and Cologne/Bonn Airport CEO Michael Garvens reiterated (23-Jan-2017) calls for deregulation of Germany's airports. Mr Garvens said airports are subjected to financial "burdens" which, "Have to be reduced", in order to adapt infrastructure to the evolving requirements of passengers. Mr Garvens listed air traffic taxes, "steadily rising" security costs and restrictions on operating times and curfews as, "Threatening Germany as a business location".
