US lawmakers passed, and US President Donald Trump signed, legislation ending the partial US Government shutdown affecting the US Department of Homeland Security and the US TSA, with DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin saying DHS was "back open" after 76 days.1 During the shutdown, ACI-NA President and CEO Kevin Burke said disruption and uncertainty for airports and travellers were mounting and warned the situation was becoming unsustainable.2
