ACI Europe estimates European airports to lose 100m pax, EUR2bn revenue in 1Q2020 due to Covid-19

ACI Europe estimated (17-Mar-2020) EU/EEA/Swiss and UK airports will collectively lose around 100 million passengers in 1Q2020 and a 1Q2020 revenue loss of EUR2 billion due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak. President Jost Lammers stated that the situation is "worsening" as EU and other nations implement travel restrictions to slow the spread of the virus, with EU airports "bracing for a near-total collapse of their traffic, connectivity and revenues" and face growing cash flow concerns.
