Abu Dhabi International Airport pre-qualifying bids for construction of Midfield Terminal

Supervision Committee for the Expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport (SCADIA) is reportedly pre-qualifying companies to bid for Abu Dhabi International Airport's Midfield Terminal Building by 01-Feb-2010 (MEED, 22-Feb-2010). SCADIA invited contractors to express interest in the contract by 01-Feb-2010. The Midfield Terminal Building is a cornerstone of the USD6.8 billion redevelopment of the airport and will accommodate Etihad Airways' operations and have capacity to handle 20 million passengers p/a. Pre-conditions for EoIs included annual turnover of USD5 billion and 'successful completion' of five similar projects in the last ten years, two of which must be valued at more than USD1 billion.
