With 24,275,604 passengers carried in 2012 Alitalia Group is again the first air carrier in Italy

With regard to the statements made today by the CEO of Ryanair, Michael O'Leary, the Alitalia Group wishes to point out that, with its 24,275,604 passengers carried during 2012, as announced during the presentation of the balance sheet, the Group is again the first air carrier in Italy in terms of passengers carried.

The Companies within the Group, including Air One, are deployed on domestic and international flights to best meet the market requirements: full service with Alitalia, quality service at lower fares with Air One.

In 2012, the load factor was 74.6%, up 1.8 points in respect of the previous year.
