Sep-2017 Check-in System Outage

Our check-in systems are now fully operational after an Optus technical issue was resolved.

We sincerely apologise for any delays and inconvenience this issue has caused our guests.

There may be delays to some flights this afternoon due to the technical issue and we recommend that passengers check the status of their flight at our Flight Status page: https://flightstatus.virginaustralia.com/flightRoute

Bali Flights

Virgin Australia is closely monitoring activity at Mt Agung in Bali. The Agung Volcano Observatory has recently updated its aviation colour code from yellow to orange, indicating an increased likelihood of eruption.

At present, there is no visible ash cloud and therefore flights are planned to operate as scheduled. However there may be some delays due to the fact that some of our Bali bound flights will be making fuel stops in Darwin as a precautionary measure. This ensures that if an eruption occurs while the aircraft is en route, we will be able to get guests back to their originating port safely and quickly.

If you wish to change your booking, please contact us on 13 67 89 from Australia or +61 7 3119 7175 from Bali (or 00 1803 061 2002 from a Bali fixed line with IndoSat carrier).

We encourage guests booked via travel agents or third parties to ensure Virgin Australia has your mobile number, should we need to contact you in the event of any changes.

Guests with travel insurance are encouraged to check with their insurer about their individual circumstances.

Please continue to check the flight status page flightstatus.virginaustralia.com/ for the most up to date information.
