UIA has announced of its 2012 preliminary financial results

According to 2012 preliminary results, obtained in compliance with the requirements of the National Accounting Standards of Ukraine, Ukraine International Airlines reached the break-even points and received net profit for the first time in three-year period.

In 2012 UIA operated 25116 flights and carried 2.8 million passengers exceeding figures of the previous year by 33%.

According to 2012 preliminary financial results, in full compliance with the requirements of National Accounting Standards of Ukraine, the airline`s pre-tax profit amounted to 9.5 million UAH.

Despite marginal profit, made due to incredible efforts of UIA staff, 2012 financial results did not allow the airline to completely settle liquidity issues and to cut losses accumulated in recent years. However, positive financial results demonstrate UIA`s strength and the tendency for negotiating the consequences of the global financial crisis having affected the aviation industry.

Ultimate financial results will be announced upon the completion of an audit currently conducted by Deloitte & Touche USC leading auditing and consulting company.
