The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in October 2018 reached 1.29 million visits

Abstraction

• The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in October 2018 increased by 11.24 percent compared to the number of visits in October 2017, namely from 1.16 million visits to 1.29 million visits. Meanwhile, when compared to September 2018, the number of foreign tourist visits in October 2018 decreased by 5.74 percent.
• Cumulatively (January-October 2018), the number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia reached 13.24 million visits, up 11.92 percent compared to the number of foreign tourist visits in the same period in 2017 which amounted to 11.83 million visits.
• The hotel occupancy rate (TPK) of star classification in Indonesia in October 2018 reached an average of 58.84 percent or an increase of 1.91 points compared to the October 2017 TPK which was recorded at 56.93 percent. Meanwhile, if compared to the September 2018 TPK, the hotel TPK star classification in October 2018 decreased by 0.11 points.
• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests in hotels star classification during October 2018 was 1.90 days, a decrease of 0.02 points compared to the conditions in October 2017.
