The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in May 2021 reached 155.61 thousand visits

• The number of foreign tourist visits to Indonesia in May 2021 decreased by 3.85 percent compared to the number of visits in May 2020. When compared to the previous month, April 2021, the number of foreign tourist visits in April 2021 increased by 24.48 percent.

• Cumulatively (January-May 2021), the number of foreign tourist visits reached 664.54 thousand visits or a sharp decline of 77.62 percent when compared to the number of foreign tourist visits in the same period in 2020 which amounted to 2.97 million visits.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star classification hotels in Indonesia in May 2021 reached an average of 31.97 percent, an increase of 17.52 points compared to the TPK for the same month in 2020 which was recorded at 14.45 percent. When compared to the previous month, April 2021, the TPK in May 2021 decreased by 2.66 points.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star-class hotels during May 2021 was recorded at 1.67 days, or a decrease of 0.19 points when compared to May 2020.
