The number of foreign tourist arrivals or tourists to Indonesia in May 2020 decreased by 86.90 percent compared to the number of visits in May 2019. In addition, when compared to April 2020, the number of foreign tourists visiting in May 2020 increased by 3.10 percent.
Cumulatively (January-May 2020), the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia reached 2.93 million visits, down 53.36 percent compared to the number of foreign tourists visiting the same period in 2019, which amounted to 6.28 million visits.
Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star classification hotels in Indonesia in May 2020 reached an average of 14.45 percent or down 29.08 points compared to the ROR of May 2019 which was recorded at 43.53 percent. In addition, if compared to the April 2020 TPK, the TPK of star classification hotels in May 2020 increased by 1.78 points.
The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at star classification hotels during May 2020 was 1.86 days, a decrease of 0.07 points compared to May 2019.
