Company will fly to Florence from Lisbon

TAP Air Portugal will have a very strong growth of its operation at the Porto airport next year. The airline launches two daily flights to Barcelona and Milan, thus resuming, but with more supply, two routes it had interrupted in 2016, as part of the redesign of the operation then carried out.

In addition to resuming these routes, TAP also announces new flights from Porto, to London City Airport, with six flights per week, and to Ponta Delgada, with daily flights.

With these new offers, which start on March 25, TAP announces a total of 41 new frequencies per week connecting directly to four different cities. These flights will begin to be marketed as soon as some operational details are completed.
Regarding schedules, the two daily flights to Barcelona depart from Porto at 06h30 (TP1030) and at 19h35 (TP1031). For Milan, TAP flights have departures from Porto at 06:30 (TP818) and at 05:55 (TP816).

The Porto-London City route, with six weekly flights, departs from Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport at 12:05 p.m. (TP354), arriving in London at 2:20 p.m. and returning to Porto at 2:50 p.m. (TP353), where the plane arrives at 5:10 p.m.

Another novelty of the TAP summer calendar from the city of Porto is the creation of a daily flight to Ponta Delgada. TP 1861 will leave Porto at 1:20 p.m., with estimated arrival in Ponta Delgada at 2:45 p.m. The return (TP1866) will be at 15:35 with a landing in Porto at 18:50 local time.

From Lisbon to Florence

TAP also announces the start of flights between Lisbon and Florence, with 10 flights per week, starting on June 10 next year. Florence will be the company's fifth destination in Italy, joining Rome, Bologna, Milan and Venice. TAP's commitment to strengthening the Italian market, not only in point-to-point traffic, but also as a generator of traffic to other TAP destinations, using Lisbon as the preferred hub.

The operation between Lisbon and Florence will have two different schedules. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, departure from Lisbon is at 07:05 and arrival in Florence at 10:50. In the opposite direction, the departure of Florence is at 11:35 p.m. with arrival in Lisbon at 1:35 p.m. On Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays there will also be the flight leaving Lisbon at 15:50 and arriving in Florence at 19:35. In the opposite direction, departure from Florence at 20.20 and arrival in Lisbon at 10:20 p.m.

Reinforcement in Brazil and Canada

As of June, TAP also strengthens its long-haul operation with four more weekly flights to São Paulo and one more to Brasilia, Belo Horizonte and Toronto, Canada.

The Company also intends to start connecting next year, Lisbon and Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, and this operation is still dependent on governmental authorizations.
