Suspension Of The Visa Waiver Program, Making Medical Declarations Before Entering Vietnam & Conduct

1. Vietnam government recently announced that the UK and 7 other European countries including Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Germany, France and Spain will no longer be exempted from the 15-day visa when entering Vietnam as before.

2. In addition, as requirement of Vietnam government, all passengers, including Vietnamese and foreign citizens, are requested to fill in medical status declaration forms before coming to Vietnam, starting from 06h00 (GMT+7) 07th March, 2020.

3. To curb the spread of Sars-CoV-2 , Vietnam Airlines will conduct temperature checks of all passengers departing from Europe prior to embarkation and provide them with face masks to be worn throughout the flights. Passengers are also recommended to remain seated and refrain from movement and communication aboard.

Aircraft, including their entire cabins, cockpits, and preparation areas, were disinfected as soon as they arrived at the apron with added focus attached to not only frequently touched surfaces such as overhead compartment locks, armrests, and lavatory doorknobs, but also seat covers, carpets, floors, and other potential areas of direct contact. The disinfectant used was Disinfection Spraying CH2200, a compound approved by aircraft manufacturers that meets the standards stipulated by health authorities and poses no health risks to passengers.
