SAS has signed an agreement with the Norwegian Pilot Union (NSF) and the industrial action in Norway

SAS has today signed a new modern collective bargain agreement with the Norwegian pilot union NSF. The negotiations have reached its objective after a strike that lasted for seven days and involved 17 pilots. SAS has now agreed with all of its pilot unions on new collective bargain agreements that create conditions for future expansion.

Job security, reduced complexity and SAS need to act faster in relation to the market's demand have been central parts in the negotiations for a new collective bargain agreement with the pilot unions during this spring. The Norwegian pilot union NSF signed the agreement today as the last of the pilot unions and the agreement is now subject to a member voting.

- To start with I would like to apologize to those customers who have been affected by the strike. We have now reached agreements with all four pilot unions that enable us to invest in the future and continue the positive development. The negotiations are also a proof that we, together with the pilot unions, jointly have taken responsibility for securing Scandinavian jobs and a future for pilots at SAS, says Rickard Gustafson, President and CEO at SAS.

The new collective bargain agreement is in force for 1 year and valid from April 1, 2015.

SAS har i dag tidlig inngått en ny moderne kollektivavtale med den norske pilotforeningen NSF. Forhandlingene har kommet i mål etter en streik som har vart i en uke, og som har omfattet 17 piloter. SAS har nå blitt enige med samtlige pilotforeninger om nye kollektivavtaler som skaper de nødvendige forutsetningene for fremtidig ekspansjon.

Redusert kompleksitet og SAS' behov for å agere raskere i forhold til markedets etterspørsel og forventninger, har vært sentrale element i forhandlingene med foreningene gjennom våren. Den norske pilotforeningen NSF var den siste av pilotforeningene som signerte avtalen, og sender den nå ut til uravstemning til medlemmene.

- Jeg vil begynne med å beklage overfor alle de kundene som er rammet av streiken. Nå har vi avtaler med hele pilotkorpset i SAS som gjør det mulig for oss å investere i fremtidens fly, nye ruter og produkter for våre mange reisende. Forhandlingene er et bevis på at vi tar et felles ansvar for å sikre skandinaviske arbeidsplasser og en fremtid for piloter ansatt i SAS, sier Rickard Gustafson, konsernsjef i SAS

Den nye kollektivavtalen er gjeldende fra i 1. april 2015, med et års varighet.
