Rolls-Royce welcomes decision by Air Mauritius to select Airbus A350 XWB aircraft

16-Jul-2014 Rolls-Royce has welcomed a decision by Air Mauritius to select six Airbus A350 XWB aircraft, two of them leased, powered by the Trent XWB, the world's most efficient large civil aero engine.

Eric Schulz, Rolls-Royce, President - Civil Large Engines, said: "We are delighted Air Mauritius will be operating the Trent XWB and look forward to ensuring it benefits from all the economic advantages the engine brings."

The Trent XWB, specifically designed for the A350 XWB, is the fastest-selling Trent engine ever, with more than 1,400 already sold.
