18-Dec-2017 Qatar Airways' Qsuite made its U.S. debut on Dec. 16 as it arrived at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport. Qatar Airways recently rolled out the innovative Business Class seat on flights to London Heathrow Airport and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, and it will soon commence to D.C.'s Washington Dulles International Airport; the second destination in the Americas to launch the revolutionary product.

The patented Qsuite features the industry's first-ever double bed available in Business Class and private cabins for up to four people with privacy panels that stow away, allowing passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private room; a first of its kind in the industry. Adjustable panels and movable TV monitors on the center four seats allow colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their space into a private suite, allowing them to work, dine and socialize together. These new features provide the ultimate customizable travel experience that enables passengers to create an environment that suits their own unique needs.

Qatar Airways Vice President for the Americas, Günter Saurwein, said: "The Qsuite is a first of its kind in the aviation industry and its debut in the United States has been highly anticipated by our dedicated and prospective customers. We are ecstatic by its arrival in New York, and upcoming arrival in Washington D.C., as it offers business and leisure travelers a new and revolutionary method of traveling and further affirms our commitment and contributions to the United States market."

The arrival of the Qsuite caps off a year of celebrating the 10th anniversary of Qatar Airways flying to the United States, with its first flight to the U.S. being New York on June 28, 2007. This past summer, the airline celebrated these 10 years of unparalleled service to the United States by illuminating the Empire State Building in its signature burgundy and white colors.

One of the world's fastest growing airlines, and also celebrating 20 years of operations globally, Qatar Airways serves a network of more than 150 international destinations, with newly-launched additions to such desirable destinations as Chiang Mai, Thailand; Sohar, Sultanate of Oman; Prague, Czech Republic and Kyiv, Ukraine. Additionally, the airline has announced upcoming service to Pattaya, Thailand; Canberra, Australia; Penang, Malaysia; and many more. Qatar Airways serves 10 cities across the U.S.; including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

The award-winning airline has received a number of accolades this year, including 'Airline of the Year' by the prestigious 2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards, which was held at the Paris Air Show. This is the fourth time that Qatar Airways has been given this global recognition. Qatar Airways also won a raft of other major awards from Global Traveler USA; including, World's Best Business Class, World's Best First Class Airline Lounge and Best Airline in the Middle East.
