More Qantas flights to Noumea

Qantas is meeting increasing demand for travel between Australia and New Caledonia by introducing two extra weekly flights to Noumea from Brisbane and Sydney.

From 31 March 2019*, a new flight to Noumea from Brisbane will operate on Tuesday and from Sydney on Wednesday each week, providing more options for the growing number of customers travelling to the French territory in the South Pacific.

Noumea is a popular holiday destination for Australians and the number of travellers between the two countries has been growing steadily over recent years. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, there were 54,100 visitor arrivals from New Caledonia for the 12-month period ending September 2018, up 7.6% from the previous year.

With these additional flights, Qantas has increased its Sydney-Noumea service from three to four times per week, and its Brisbane-Noumea service from one to two times per week, using its Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

Flights are now available to book, for travel from 31 March 2019.
