Lufthansa report Nov-2009 traffic
Passenger demand stable, recovery in cargo business The performance figures for the Lufthansa Group's passenger business improved again sharply in November as a result of consolidation. On a like-for-like basis, 1.6 per cent more passengers flew with the companies in the Group. Sales (-0.2%), capacity (0.0%) and load factor (-0.2 pp) were roughly the same as last year. While the long-haul routes to Asia and the Americas reported high passenger load factors, the restructuring of the fleet in European traffic mainly led to a fall in the load factor for the short haul.
