The partnership with Oman Air will provide more ways for frequent flyers to access Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East using their points and adds to the 1,200 destinations members can already travel to.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Andrew Glance said: "We know how much our members love to use their points to book international reward seats, with record numbers redeemed in the last twelve months.

"The partnership with Oman Air is an exciting expansion to the program and will unlock tens of thousands of reward seats to places like London, Paris, Frankfurt and Milan each year.

"Frequent Flyers also tell us that exploring new destinations is high on their priority list, so this partnership will be welcome news for members eyeing their next overseas adventure.

"Oman Air is an impressive airline with an expansive network, a modern fleet, and a premium offering that rivals any international carrier," said Glance.

Based in Muscat, Oman Air is a full-service carrier operating more than 700 flights each week. The airline offers frequent flights to more than 40 destinations including London, Paris, Frankfurt, Milan and Dubai and connects conveniently to the Qantas and Jetstar network in Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta, Phuket, Bangalore and Delhi.

Oman Air operates 35 aircraft, including ten 787 Dreamliners. The airline's widebody fleet features three cabins (Business Studio, Business and Economy), with the new Business Studio suite one of the world's most spacious.

Each Business Studio suite is fitted with privacy walls, 82-inch lie-flat seating, a 23-inch entertainment screen, complimentary Wi-Fi and à la carte dining. Qantas Frequent Flyers can access Business and Economy reward seats from today, with Business Studio seats available in early 2025.

Oman Air CEO Con Korfiatis said the partnership is an exciting development for Oman Air, as the carrier prepares to join the oneworld alliance in the new year.

"We are thrilled to partner with Qantas and showcase Oman's beauty and rich cultural heritage to Qantas Frequent Flyers.

"Oman is not only a convenient gateway to Europe, the Middle East and beyond, but is a stunning and exciting destination in its own right. Its unique attractions, laid-back charm and unparalleled natural diversity set it apart from anywhere else in the region.

"From the fjords in the north to the white-sand beaches and turquoise waters of the coast, the rugged mountain landscapes of the interior to the lush valleys and gushing waterfalls of the south, there's something different in every corner of the country. Oman promises a unique and unforgettable experience, whether for a relaxing getaway or a quick escape through our stopover program."

The Oman Air reward seats will add to the more than 5 million members can already book across Qantas, Jetstar and 45 partner airlines, including Emirates, British Airways, and Cathay Pacific.

The partnership follows other initiatives to expand members' opportunities to use their points on flights, including the introduction of Classic Plus across the international network in July.

Qantas Frequent Flyers can also use their points on hotel stays across Oman through Qantas Hotels.
