Extension of Qantas code to include Premium Economy with China Airlines to Taipei

22-Jan-2018 Qantas and China Airlines have expanded their codeshare arrangements to provide Qantas customers the opportunity to travel non-stop to Taipei in Premium Economy on Qantas code. Qantas codeshares with China Airlines to provide direct non-stop flights to Taipei from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. China Airlines will operate their new three-class A350 aircraft on these routes, now with the choice of Business, Premium Economy and Economy codeshare seats.New Qantas Premium Economy fares are now on sale, for travel Sydney-Taipei from 20 February 2018, and Melbourne-Taipei and Brisbane-Taipei from 25 March 2018*.China Airlines currently operates up to double-daily services between Sydney and Taipei, up to daily services between Brisbane and Taipei and three-weekly services between Melbourne and Taipei.These new direct flights complement existing options for Qantas customers who can travel on Qantas operated services to Hong Kong or Singapore and on to Taipei with our codeshare and interline partners.Qantas Club Members and Qantas Gold Frequent Flyers travelling on Qantas code to Taipei can enjoy the Qantas Business lounges in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and Qantas Platinum and PlatinumOne Frequent Flyers can enjoy the Qantas First Lounge in Sydney and Melbourne. Qantas customers travelling in Business from Taipei to Australia can enjoy China Airlines lounges in Taipei.*Subject to government and regulatory approval.
