Eurowings erweitert Flugangebot von Düsseldorf nach New York

Jetzt noch häufiger in die Stadt fliegen, die niemals schläft - das geht künftig mit Eurowings ab Düsseldorf: Ab 1. Dezember 2018 startet die Airline zusätzlich zu ihren Verbindungen nach JFK auch sechsmal pro Woche zum New Yorker Flughafen Newark (EWR). Eurowings übernimmt mit diesem Flug die bis dahin von Lufthansa angebotene Verbindung. Damit können Reisende ab der NRW-Landeshauptstadt erstmals mit Eurowings zwischen den beiden New Yorker Flughäfen wählen.

Die Flüge mit einem Airbus A330 nach Newark (EWR) starten täglich außer dienstags unter der Flugnummer EW 1112 um 11.45 Uhr ab Düsseldorf und landen um 14.50 Uhr Ortszeit in Newark. Der Rückflug als Flug EW 1113 hebt um 16.50 Uhr Ortszeit in New York ab - Ankunft ist dann am jeweils nächsten Tag um 6.05 Uhr in Düsseldorf. Tickets nach "Big Apple" sind bereits ab 179,99 Euro pro Strecke im Internet unter www.eurowings.com oder per Smartphone und Tablet über die Eurowings App buchbar. Eurowings Kunden in Düsseldorf profitieren außerdem von einer Codeshare-Vereinbarung mit Lufthansa, die ein schnelles und komfortables Umsteigen zu Zielen im LH-Netz ermöglicht.

Mit der Erweiterung ihrer New York-Flüge baut Eurowings ihr Langstrecken-Angebot am Flughafen Düsseldorf weiter aus. Im Winterflugplan 2018/19 können Passagiere von DUS mit Eurowings nach New York, Fort Myers, Miami (USA), Cancun (Mexiko) und Punta Cana, Puerto Plata (Dominikanische Republik), Varadero, Havanna (Kuba), Montego Bay (Jamaica) und Bangkok (Thailand) reisen. Bereits heute ist Düsseldorf der größte Eurowings Standort. An keinem anderen Flughafen bietet die Lufthansa-Tochter ihren Passagieren ein umfangreicheres Streckennetz. Die Airline hat am größten NRW-Flughafen inzwischen 40 Flugzeuge stationiert und fliegt mehr als 1.700 Mal pro Woche zu 95 Zielen in Deutschland und weltweit.

Vollwertige Business Class auf allen NYC-Flügen

Auf allen New York-Flügen sowie auf sämtlichen anderen USA-Flügen ab Düsseldorf nach Miami, Fort Myers und ab Sommer 2019 nach Las Vegas bietet Eurowings für die anspruchsvollsten Fluggäste eine BIZclass an - eine vollwertige Business-Class mit "Fullflat"-Sitzen: Per Knopfdruck lässt sich der Komfortsitz vollautomatisch in ein zwei Meter langes Bett mit waagerechter Liegefläche ("Full Flat") verwandeln. Eurowings ist die einzige Low Cost Fluggesellschaft mit einem solch hochwertigen Angebot. Aufgrund der hohen Nachfrage nach einem Business Class-Produkt auf der Strecke nach Newark setzt Eurowings ein Flugzeug mit vergrößerter BIZClass ein. Passagieren stehen damit 30 BIZClass Sitze anstelle der bisher angebotenen 18 Sitze zur Verfügung.

Eurowings is expanding its flight program from Düsseldorf to New York

Fly to the city that never sleeps even more frequently from now on - with Eurowings from Düsseldorf. As of 1 December 2018, the airline will be offering six flights per week to New York's Newark Airport (EWR) in addition to its existing connections to JFK. Eurowings is taking over the connection which had previously been offered by Lufthansa, allowing passengers flying with Eurowings from the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia to choose between the two New York area airports for the first time.

The flights with an Airbus A330 to Newark (EWR) will take off from Düsseldorf every day except Tuesday at 11:45 a.m. with the flight number EW 1112 and land in Newark at 2:50 p.m. local time. The return flight will leave New York as flight number EW 1113 at 4:50 p.m. local time, arriving in Düsseldorf the next day at 6:05 a.m. Tickets to the "Big Apple" can already be booked online at www.eurowings.com or through the Eurowings app for smartphones and tablets, with prices starting at 179.99 euros one-way. Eurowings customers in Düsseldorf also benefit from a codeshare agreement with Lufthansa that makes fast and convenient transfers to destinations in the network of the parent company possible.

Eurowings is expanding its long-haul program at Düsseldorf's airport with the additional flights to New York. The 2018/19 winter flight schedule takes Eurowings passengers from DUS to New York, Fort Myers and Miami (USA), Cancun (Mexico), Punta Cana and Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), Varadero and Havana (Cuba), Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Bangkok (Thailand). Düsseldorf is already Eurowings' biggest location. The Lufthansa subsidiary offers its passengers a bigger selection of routes here than at any other airport. The largest airport in North Rhine-Westphalia has become the home base for 40 Eurowings aircraft, with more than 1,700 flights per week leaving for 95 destinations in Germany and around the world.

Fully-featured Business Class on all flights to NYC

All flights from Düsseldorf to New York and all other destinations in the US (Miami and Fort Myers, and Las Vegas as of Summer 2019) offer a BIZclass for the most discerning passengers - a fully-featured Business Class with "full-flat" seats: at the touch of a button, the comfortable seat transforms into a bed that is two meters long and completely horizontal ("full flat"). Eurowings is the only low-cost carrier to offer such a high-value product. Due to the high demand for a Business Class on the route to Newark, Eurowings is using an aircraft with a larger BIZclass on this route, making 30 BIZclass seats available to passengers instead of the previously offered 18.
