To execute the order of the Head of State on the digitalization of identity cards within the framework of the Address to the Nation of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2020, the Civil Aviation Committee of MIID RK in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, JSC "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan", airlines and airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, JSC "NIT", work on the implementation of digital documents service on air transport is carried out.

Starting today, as a pilot project, the service of digital documents has been launched at the airports of Nur-Sultan and Almaty. Passengers departing on scheduled Air Astana flights between the two cities can present an electronic ID card via the Egov Mobile application to confirm their personal data.
Passengers using the digital document service, when checking in for a flight at the airport check-in desk, as well as passing through the pre-flight security check, must show a QR-code, generated by the Egov Mobile application.
The "E-document" software for reading the QR-code generated by the "digital documents" service on EgovMobile has been developed by Nursultan Nazarbayev Airport.
It is expected that the service of digital documents will be introduced in all airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the current year.
Due to the fact that the project in the airports is launched in the pilot mode, passengers who plan to use the digital service are recommended to have the original ID card with them.
