April 5 Update

Country-Specific Information:

  • As of April 5, 2020 there are 142 confirmed cases COVID-19 throughout Kenya
  • There is currently a mandatory, country-wide curfew imposed between 7pm and 5am.

  • Persons visiting a supermarket or any open-air market are urged to wear a protective mask.

Entry and Exit Requirements:

  • As of March 25th, The Government of Kenya suspended all international flights in and out of Kenya.

  • Starting April 6, the Government of Kenya extended the ban for another 30 days.

Quarantine Information:

  • Those coming into the country between March 23 and March 25thmust undergo mandatory quarantine at a government designated facility at the passenger's own expense.
  • All persons who have come into Kenya in the last 14 days must self-quarantine. If any person exhibits symptoms such as cough, or fever, they should present themselves to the nearest health facility for testing.
  • Medical quarantine will be extended an extra 14 days for those who test positive for COVID-19 in government quarantine facilities.
