"The disappointing summer weather in Norway this year caused many Norwegians to book last-minute trips to warmer climates. The increase is most likely a result of this and the fact that last year's summer in Norway was one of the best. Overall, this gives us a nice boost in traffic," says traffic director at Oslo Airport, Jasper Spruit.

Growth at Bergen Airport was 0.2 per cent, Stavanger Airport saw an increase of 2.4 per cent, and
Trondheim Airport's traffic increased by 0.7 per cent.

The number of aircraft movements to and from Avinor's airports declined by three per cent.

So far this year, 28 870 444 passengers have travelled to and from Avinor's airports. This is 0.8 per cent less, compared with the same period last year.
