ALTA on the Move in Uruguay

Feb-2018 On February 23, 2018, ALTA's Chief Legal Counsel Gonzalo Yelpo held a meeting with the work team of Uruguay's Ministry of Transport and Public Works in preparation for working days to redefine and promote Uruguay's aeronautical policy and connectivity. The meeting focused entry barriers, restrictions and regulations, and competitiveness and infrastructure.

On February 26, 2018, ALTA's Executive Director Luis Felipe de Oliveira and ALTA's Chief Legal Counsel Gonzalo Yelpo met with Uruguay's Chamber of Commerce of Aeronautics in order to discuss ways of working more closely together and finding synergies for various projects.

ALTA also met with Uruguay's Minister of Transport and Public Works Víctor Rossi in order to improve the application of transparent, sustainable and long-term tariff policies for aviation fuels. It was agreed to form a work team led by the Ministry. Ideas and opinions on the redefinition and promotion of aeronautical policy and connectivity of Uruguay were also exchanged with ALTA's technical support.

In addition, ALTA meet with the Ancap President Ing. Química Marta Jara, Ancap General Manager Ignacio Horvarth, and their technical team in order to find ways for the application of transparent, sustainable and long-term tariff policies for aviation fuels. They agreed to form a work team led by the Ministry.
