Direct News Source

Alitalia customers can now access 29 million listings to find their perfect stay via a special Booking.com integration on the Alitalia.com website

Today Alitalia, the largest Italian airline, announced a new partnership with Booking.com, one of the world's leading digital travel platforms. The commercial collaboration between the two companies is aimed at offering Alitalia customers an even more complete, digital travel experience, thanks to a special integration of the Booking.com accommodation search engine on the Alitalia.com website.

After having booked a flight on Alitalia.com, Alitalia customers will now be able to easily find and book their preferred accommodation directly on the airline's website. Via the new Booking.com integration, travelers will be able to choose between 29 million total reported listings, including everything from hotels and resorts to homes, apartments and other unique places to stay in over 144,000 destinations in 229 countries and territories around the world.

In addition, Alitalia MilleMiglia frequent flyer members will continue to earn 3 or more miles for every euro they spend on accommodation booked through the Booking.com integration on the Alitalia website. To earn miles, they simply need to insert their MilleMiglia code when booking.

"Our goal is to provide the best and most complete travel experience possible to Alitalia customers, so we are proud to announce this key partnership with an e-commerce global leader in the travel industry," said Fabio Maria Lazzerini, Chief Business Officer of Alitalia. "Besides the flight, there are many ancillary elements that come into play when planning a trip, such as, for example: accommodation, insurance or car rental. Thanks to the partnership with Booking.com, our customers will have from today an even more extensive range of available services that can be simply booked with a few clicks on Alitalia.com website," added the manager.

"We're delighted to be partnering with Alitalia and look forward to helping their customers seamlessly find their ideal place to stay via this new integration," said Ripsy Bandourian, Senior Director of Partnerships at Booking.com. "As our mission is to empower people to experience the world, we're continuously exploring synergies with key players in the space that enable us to help even more travelers book and enjoy their ideal accommodation, no matter where their journeys take them, whether that's a trendy apartment in Rome or a secluded villa in the Maldives."
