Latvian airline airBaltic starting on April 4, 2019 introduces Basic fares for Riga-Moscow route. The new Hand baggage only fares will enable passengers to travel more convenient for a better price between Riga International Airport and Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow. In the near future airBaltic is planning to introduce Basic tickets also on Riga-Kazan route, so that passengers can enjoy Hand baggage only fares on all routes.

Passengers will be able to choose three ticket types - Basic, Premium and Business. The Basic ticket secures the lowest price for budget travellers, and extra services, including checked-in baggage, can be purchased as needed. The Premium ticket includes service at the Business check-in counter, ability to pre-select your preferred seat in the aircraft, a checked-in bag free of charge, and allows changes to the booking. In addition, airBaltic has further improved the flying experience of its passengers by offering new, convenient service. airBaltic passengers can purchase additional weight of four kilograms for their free cabin baggage allowance for a price starting at EUR 8.99. By using the service, the total cabin bag allowance can reach a total weight of up to 12 kilograms. The service is available only on flights operated by airBaltic.
