Air Malta: Weather causes flight disruptions at London Heathrow

19-Dec-2010 Heavy snowfalls are forcing the closure of London Heathrow Airport and causing disruptions to flights scheduled to operate to this airport today.

Due to the closure of this airport, Air Malta flights KM100/1 which was due to depart from Malta at 0750 local time and from London Heathrow at 1125 UK time is now cancelled. Air Malta KM102/3 which was due to depart from Malta at 1650 local time and from London Heathrow at 2030 UK time is also cancelled.

Air Malta flight KM116/7 to London Gatwick departed Malta at 0930 hours local time. Passengers booked on KM117 from Gatwick to Malta are to expect delay due to congestion at Gatwick Airport.

Air Malta KM420/1 originally scheduled to operate Malta - Amsterdam - Brussels - Malta will now operate as Malta - Amsterdam - Malta due to adverse weather at Brussels Airport. It will depart Malta at 1600 hours local time and is scheduled to depart from Amsterdam at 2155 hours.

Air Malta flight KM478/9 originally scheduled to operate Malta - Paris Charles De Gaulle -Malta has been cancelled due to adverse weather at Paris Charles De Gaulle. Flight KM476 Malta to Paris Orly will depart at 1620 local time.
