Air Berlin reports Feb-2010 traffic highlights

In February 2010, Air Berlin, Germany's second-largest airline company, transported 1,951,085 passengers (including those travelling on the acquired TUIfly routes), i.e. 3.1 percent more than in the corresponding month of the previous year (February 2009: 1,893,197 passengers, including those travelling on the acquired TUIfly routes). At the same time, Air Berlin was able to increase its revenue per available seat kilometer (ASK) to 5.51 Eurocents, i.e. an increase of 3.3 percent (February 2009: 5.33 Eurocents). Fleet capacity utilization decreased slightly to 70.6 percent, i.e. by 0.3 percentage points (February 2009: 70.9 percent). Capacity increased by 3.5 percent as compared to the corresponding month of the previous year.
