A double Malaysia Day celebration : airasia celebrates the launch of Langkawi travel bubble with inaugural flights from 5 cities, island-wide e-hailing service

AirAsia is celebrating more than just  its maiden flight from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi today with the launch of its very first ride hailing services on the island also part of the celebrations. 

The inaugural service utilising an Airbus A321neo aircraft departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport (klia2) at 0950hrs with a 100% flight load, signifying a strong rebound  for domestic air travel.

Aside from Kuala Lumpur (63x weekly), AirAsia also has flights to Langkawi departing from Penang (14x weekly), Johor Bahru (7x weekly), Ipoh (3x weekly) and Kota Bharu (3x weekly), making up a total of 90x weekly flights. All flights are operated with a 100% fully-vaccinated crew,  with strict health protocols and robust procedures in place to maintain the highest safety standards at all times to ensure the wellbeing of guests and crew.
