205 thousand air traffic movements during the first four months of 2010, up 11.5%

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) announced that although global air traffic movements decreased in April due to the interruption to air operations in most European airports because of ash clouds from the volcano in Iceland, UAE air traffic movements grew 10.6% in April, reaching 52.3 thousand air traffic movements, compared with 47.3 thousand in April 2009.
