About
The MITRE Corporation is a non-profit organisation that provides systems engineering, research and development, and information technology support to the US government through federally funded research and development centres. The corporation has developed the country's GPS, air traffic control, mobile technologies, cybersecurity, and healthcare IT systems, and provides support to international projects in India and Singapore. With principal bases in Massachusetts and Virginia, the NPO also engages subcontractors and consultants to perform scientific, technical, advisory, and infrastructure services.
