Textron Aviation Inc. is the general aviation subsidiary of the Textron Group, a multi-industry company that leverages aircraft, defense, industrial and finance business units. Headquartered in Wichita, KS, Textron Aviation was formed in 2014 following the acquisition of Beech Holdings LLC to culminate Textron Group's general aviation brands including Cessna and Hawker. It operates as the holding company that represents Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker, specialist manufacturers of business jets, general aviation and special mission turboprop aircraft, high performance piston aircraft, military trainer and defense aircraft. The company also has a global service network and mobile service units to provide parts and aircraft maintenance services for Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker equipment.

On 17-Mar-2022, Textron entered an agreement to purchase Pipistrel. On closing of the transaction, Textron plans to form a new business segment, Textron eAviation, focused on the development of sustainable aircraft, which will include Pipistrel. Textron closed its acquisition of Pipistrel for a cash purchase price of approximately EUR218 million on 18-Apr-2022. Pipistrel will remain a distinct brand and joins the new Textron eAviation division.
