About
Headquartered in Rome, Italy, Selex ES (part of Finmeccanica) was a global aerospace and defence company specialising in electronic and information solutions. Aside from its defence products, Selex ES provided a range of products for the commercial aviation sector including avionics, Air Traffic Management and baggage handling and logistics solutions. Selex ES employed a staff of over 17,000 people and has operations in the United States, Germany, Türkiye, Romania, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, India and the United Arab Emirates. Following the Leonardo-Finmeccanica merger in Apr-2016, Selex ES, and former Finemeccania operating companies AgustaWestland, Alenia Aermacchi, OTO Melara and WASS, became Leonardo - Finmeccanica.
On 07-Nov-2022, Indra signed a binding agreement to acquire the Selex ES air traffic management business from Leonardo. The business will be incorporated as Indra Air Traffic. The transaction is expected to be completed in 1Q2023.
