Founded in 1987 with the acquisition of Bach Engineering, Rockwell Collins Interior Systems designs, develops, and manufactures a broad range of products. This included aircraft cabin seating, lighting systems, oxygen systems, food and beverage preparation and storage equipment, galley systems, water and waste systems, and advanced lavatory systems. The company also provided cabin interior reconfiguration, program management, and certification services. Formerly known as B/E Avionics and B/E Aerospace, evolved into a USD3.5 billion industry leader with over 10,000 employees and more than 35 major facilities around the world. Rockwell Collins and B/E Aerospace entered a definitive agreement under which Rockwell Collins acquired B/E Aerospace for approximately USD8.6 billion in cash and stock. Rockwell Collins completed the acquisition on 13-Apr-2017, and rebranded B/E Aerospace into Rockwell Collins Interior Systems.
