Iridium is a telecommunications and satellite specialist established in 2001. The company develops satellite communication based solutions for business, rotorcraft and commercial aviation operators. Its products include ground-to-air, long range communication solutions, low-gain antenna options and ATC/AOC communications.
In Apr-2024, Iridium Communications acquired Satelles, a provider of secure satellite based time and location services that support GPS and other GNSS reliant systems. Satelles was renamed as Iridium Satellite Time and Location. The solution helps secure infrastructure, data centres, 5G base stations and applications across the aviation, maritime, land mobile and IoT sectors.
