General Dynamics is an aerospace and defense company headquartered in Falls Church, VA. Established in 1952, the company developed products and services for military applications. In the early 1990s, General Dynamics divested its business units except for Electric Boat and Land Systems. By mid-1990s, it expanded with the acquisition of combat vehicle businesses, IT product and services companies as well as shipyards and Gulfstream Aerospace Cooperation. It's portfolio of products and services include business aviation, shipbuilding, IT solutions, combat vehicles, weapon systems and munitions. The company operates in more than 40 countries.
