About

Airbus SE and Bombardier Inc. signed a partnership agreement on 16-Oct-2017, to establish the C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership (CSALP). Under the agreement, the manufacturers will bring together complementary product lines with the 100-150 seat market segment, and leverage the reach of Airbus and scale of Bombardier's C Series line. Airbus closed the transaction on 01-Jul-2018, confirming Airbus as a majority (50.01%) owner of the CSALP, with Bombardier (34%) and Investissement Québec (16%) holding minority stakes. Subsequent to the closure of the agreement, Airbus rebranded the C Series as the A220 family including the A220-100 (formerly CS100) and A220-300 (formerly CS300) aircraft.

Bombardier completed its strategic exit from the commercial aviation programme on 14-Feb-2020, transferring its remaining interest in Airbus Canada Limited Partnership (Airbus Canada) to Airbus SE and the Government of Québec. C Series Aircraft Limited Partnership headquarters and primary assembly to remain in Québec, with the support of Airbus’ global supply chains.
