The Qitai Jiangbulake Airport will serve the county of Qitai, China. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY700 million (USD108 million) to develop and have a design capacity for up to 470,000 passengers and 5200 aircraft movements p/a.
Jan-2024. China Southern Airlines completed a test flight at Qitai Jiangbulake Airport, marking the successful completion of the airport.
Jun-2022. Zhundong Qitai Airport was renamed Qitai Jiangbulake Airport.
Apr-2022. China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) allocated CNY450 million (USD70.8 million) for the Zhundong Qitai Airport and Hejing Bayinbuluke Airport development projects under its 2022 budget. Zhundong Qitai Airport will be equipped with a 2800m x 45m runway, a 5000sqm passenger terminal and seven aircraft parking stands.
Oct-2021. CAAC approved the master plan for the Zhundong Qitai Airport development project
Aug-2021. China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) approved the feasibility survey report for the Zhundong Qitai Airport development project.
