Poipet Airport is a proposed airport development to serve the boomtown of Poipet, a popular gambling city on the border of Thailand and Cambodia. Cambodia's State Secretariat of Civil Aviation granted approval for the new airport project in 2018 but construction work commencement date is yet to be announced.

Oct-2018. Cambodia's State Secretariat of Civil Aviation approved Poipet Airport Investment's plans to construct a new airport in Poipet, Banteay Meanchey province. The new airport aims to capitalise on tourism growth in Banteay Meanchey, and will be developed on a 100 hectare site close to the Thailand border. The Secretariat estimates the project to cost up to USD50 million, and said the locally owned investment vehicle Poipet Airport Investment already owns the land required for construction.
