New Tunis Bizerte Airport is a proposed green field airport in Bizerte, a coastal city north west of Tunis.
Jan-2019. Tunisia's Minister of Transport Radhouane Ayara announced the construction of a new international airport in Tunis. The airport is projected to serve 10 million passengers by 2030 and has an estimated cost of EUR690 million/USD784 million.
Mar-2018. Tunisia's Minister of Transport Radhouan Ayara announced a new airport is slated for development near the capital in Bizerte, with construction expected to cost TND2.047 billion (USD844 million) and finish by 2030. The airport will align with international standards. A tender is expected to be issued later in 2018.
