New Tashkent International Airport is an airport development project which will serve Tashkent, Uzbekistan.


Jul-2026. Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) secured a 35 year concession to develop and operate New Tashkent International Airport, the company's largest overseas project to date. The concession, which begins in 2027, comprises a four year construction phase followed by 31 years of airport operations. IIAC will participate in the construction of passenger facilities, including the terminal and parking infrastructure. Once the airport enters service, the company will oversee facility management, maintenance and technical support for airport operations. IIAC expects to generate approximately KRW34.8 billion (USD24.45 million) in consulting revenue from 2029 to 2033, in addition to dividend income from the concession. The company plans to establish a local subsidiary in Tashkent during 2H2026 to manage project execution.

Jun-2026. Uzbekistan Airports signed a public private partnership (PPP) agreement with an international consortium led by Vision Invest, which includes Sojitz Corporation and Incheon International Airport Corporation, for construction and subsequent operation of New Tashkent International Airport. The private consortium will be responsible for construction and operation of the passenger terminal and landside facilities, while the state partner will retain responsibility for construction and operation of the airfield infrastructure.

May-2026. Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister for Transport Jasurbek Choriev said construction of New Tashkent International Airport will commence in Jun-2026. A public-private partnership agreement is expected to be signed by mid May-2026. Vision Invest, Sojitz Corporation, Incheon International Airport Corporation and Uzbekistan Airports are part of the consortium. Mr Choriev said Tashkent Islam Karimov International Airport will reach capacity by 2029. The existing airport will be closed when New Tashkent Airport...
