About

Lishui Airport is a proposed airport being constructed to serve the city of Lishui in Zhejiang Province, China. The government plans to construct a dual-use facility, capable of handling civil and military operations. The airport, categorised as a regional category 4C airport, will have one 2800m x 45m runway, two taxiways, eight aprons, a 12,000sqm terminal, air traffic control tower and fuel supplier. Construction commenced on 30-Sep-2018 and Lishui Airport is scheduled to open in 2022.


Dec-2022. Lishui Airport commenced construction work on its terminal with the ground breaking ceremony held on 23-Dec-2022. The airport will be constructed as a domestic regional airport with a total investment of CNY2.9 billion (USD415.9 million), including CNY340 million (USD48.8 million) on the terminal building and air traffic control tower. The airport will have a 12,000sqm terminal building and a 2800m long runway. Construction work is slated for completion and the airport commence operations in 2024.  

Nov-2021. Lishui Airport development works are on track to be completed by the end of Sep-2024. Works to develop the airport commenced in Sep-2018 and will require an estimated investment of CNY6.3 billion (USD986.1 million). Lishui will be equipped with one 2800m x 45m runway, one 12,000sqm passenger terminal and eight aircraft parking stands.

Jun-2018. Lishui Airport's project feasibility study report received approval from China's National Development and Reform Commission recently, according to Lishui Development and Reform Commission. The airport, categorised as a regional category 4C airport, will have one 2800m x 45m runway, two taxiways, eight aprons, a 12,000sqm terminal, air traffic control tower and fuel supplier. The airport project is expected to require CNY2883 million (US440 million), of which CNY574 million (USD87.5 million) will be invested by the state government, CNY1130 million (USD172.3 million) will come from the CAAC civil aviation development fund and the remainder to come from provincial and city governments.
