About
Fugu Airport is an airport development project which will serve Fugu county in the Shaanxi Province, China.
Apr-2024. Shaanxi Fugu Airport Construction Investment Co reported the construction of Fugu Airport commenced, with plans to complete the earthwork construction in the pavement area by the end of Jun-2024. The flight area pavement and air traffic control navigation projects are scheduled for completion in 2025. The airport will be equipped with a 2800m long and 45m wide runway, four boarding gates, two aerobridges and six aircraft parking stands. The project is estimated to require a CNY1.455 billion (USD201.08 million) investment. Fugu Airport is expected to handle up to 450,000 passengers and 1200 tonnes of cargo p/a.
Dec-2021. Shaanxi Provincial Government plans to commence preliminary works to develop Fugu Airport in Jan-2022 and full scale works in Jun-2022. The airport will be equipped with a 2800m x 45m runway, a 5000sqm passenger terminal and four aircraft parking stands. Fugu Airport will have capacity to handle up to 450,000 passengers p/a by 2025.
