Brcko Airport is a proposed development by a consortia of Slovenian companies including E-Grus, Savaprojekt and Arhitekt Smid. The consortium seeks to develop an international airport in the Bosnian district of Brcko, providing passenger and cargo services.
Jul-2017. Bosnia and Herzegovina is planning to construct new airports Brčko and Trebinje and development of Bihać Airport into a commercial facility. Details include:
- Bihac Airport: EUR1 million/USD1.1 million allocated for project documentation and minor construction works. The airport will also see another EUR900,000/USD1 million by the end of 2017, and financing guarantees for the next four years;
- Brcko Airport: A Slovenian consortium of Arhitekt Šmid, E-Grus and Savaprojekt have submitted draft construction plans for the single runway airport. The project is reportedly valued at EUR400 million/USD459 million, and has aspirations for cargo services
- Trebinje Airport: Plans for the facility were first floated in 2011, however were suspended. The project would see the airport operate with a 1700m runway, shorter than the 2600m initially proposed in 2011.
Jun-2017. Bosnia and Herzegovina's Brcko District government received a proposal to construct a new airport with one runway from a consortium of Slovenia based companies, including E-Grus, Savaprojekt and Arhitekt Smid. The project requires an investment of approximately EUR400 million/USD459 million.
